Adapted Tennis
Inclusive tennis opportunities designed for players of all abilities, offering accessible ways to learn, play, and compete.
Adapted Tennis at VTC
At the Vancouver Tennis Center (VTC), we believe tennis is a sport for every age and ability. Our adapted tennis programs are designed to provide inclusive, welcoming opportunities for all community members. Discover a program tailored to your needs, including Love Serving Autism, Wheelchair Tennis, and Blind & Low Vision Tennis, where every player can learn and enjoy the game of tennis.
Love Serving Autism
Teaching children and adults with autism life skills for functional independence on and off the courts.
The participants engage in hand-eye coordination activities to improve motor coordination, stroke production drills to improve gross motor skills, and social interaction/word-of-the-day activities to improve communication and life skills. The lesson plans are progressive, with the participants continuing to learn new skills each week.
Available for ages 5-10 and ages 11-18
Wheelchair Tennis
Designed for both youth and adults with disabilities, this program welcomes players of all experience levels. Our supportive environment offers a great space to refine your skills, connect with others, and experience the excitement of tennis.
Available seasonally in the Spring.

Blind & Low Vision Tennis
Open to individuals aged 10 and up with any level of visual impairment, Blind & Low Vision Tennis adapts the traditional game with a few key modifications. These include the use of an audible sound ball, a reduced court size, and the allowance of two or three bounces.
Whether you are looking for a social outlet or a competitive challenge, we invite you to experience this inclusive and welcoming recreational opportunity.
